How do I go to a web page?
To visit a web site the first thing you need to do is open
your browser. Most likely you're using Internet Explorer or Netscape. When your browser
opens it goes to your home page by default. To go somewhere else simply type the URL
(www.gzinc.com, for example) in the address bar at the top. Hit the Enter key or click on
GO and there you are. Another way to go to a web site is by 'following a link'. A link is
a word, a phrase or a address that is underlined and is usually a different color than the
text around it. To follow the link just click on it.

How do I download from the internet?
Eventually while you're surfing you'll find something you want
to download. Whether it's a picture, a file or an entire program it's not that difficult.
Usually files and programs that can be downloaded are 'links' (see above for a
description). To download you simply have to click on the link. A small window will pop up
asking if you want to open the file or save it to disk. Choose 'save it to disk'. Next you
have to choose where you want to download the file to. Make sure to save the program in a
place that is easy to remember. The simplest way to do this is to download it directly to
the desktop. In most cases, the download automatically selects the desktop. If not, click
the small down arrow next to the 'save in' menu and select Desktop. Once this is done,
click "Save". While the file is downloading you will see a progress bar showing
how big the file is and how long it will take to download.
In the case of graphics or other things that are not links, it's a
little more complicated. Right-click (use the right mouse button) on the picture and a
menu will pop up. In Internet Explorer choose 'Save Picture As...' and in Netscape choose
'Save Image As...'. Then download as usual.

How do I setup a domain?
A domain is in the format 'www.your-name-here.com' and setting
one up is relatively easy. Ground Zer0 has an online form you will need to fill out and
then we take it from there. The first thing to do is to go HERE and click on the web hosting plan you
want. The next step is to verify that the domain you want is available. Enter the domain
name you want (example.com or example.net) and click on Domain Lookup. If it comes back
with 'Registrant' and Contact Information then the domain is already taken and you must
try again with a different one. If it says 'No match for' the domain then just fill
out the form at the bottom of the page, choose the web hosting plan from the drop-down
list and click on Register/Transfer Domain. You will then be notified by phone or
e-mail when your domain has been completed.
